Investigate intermittent warnings, memory growth, and large chunk data after update #17

Description

@simplecloud-vercel-github

Observed behavior

After an update, the plugin may emit intermittent random warnings and use approximately 2 GB more RAM than when it is not installed. Functionality generally continues to work, but performance can degrade over time, with intermittent lag, freezes, or crashes while the server remains running.

Loading can also be very slow, sometimes showing only the spawn chunk. One chunk is reported to have unusually large stored data.

Reproduction

No active steps are currently known. Leave the server running after installing/testing the plugin and observe it over time.

Expected behavior

The plugin should not produce unexpected warnings, cause substantial unexplained memory growth, gradually degrade server performance, or create/retain unusually large chunk data that prevents normal loading.

Evidence

Additional information needed

The report does not include the exact plugin version, server software/version, Java version, configuration, installed plugins, or environment. Please request these details when investigating.

Acceptance criteria

  • Intermittent warnings can be identified and addressed or documented.
  • Memory use remains stable and does not show the reported unexplained increase during normal operation.
  • Leaving the server running does not lead to progressive lag, freezes, or crashes attributable to this behavior.
  • Chunk data remains within expected bounds and chunks load normally.
